Reliable. Professional. Discreet.

• Are you planning a short break or a longer holiday and leaving non-boarding pets behind?
• Are you dealing with a personal, medical or other emergency which requires you to spend time away from your home and pets?
• Is your cat happier in its own home, rather than a kennels/cattery, when you’re away?

If so, then our Pet Sitting/Home Visit service may be what you need to provide peace of mind and ensure your pets’ needs are met. We cater for a variety of small and exotic animals, including (but not limited to):

  • Cats
  • Rabbits/Guinea Pigs
  • Caged animals (rats/mice/hamsters/gerbils/chinchillas etc)
  • Birds
  • Exotic animals (snakes, reptiles, amphibians)
  • Fish

    Other Services:
  • Plants – House plants can be watered while tending to your pets at no additional cost
  • Greenhouses – If you have greenhouse plants that need caring for, this can be booked separately

Whilst it’s not recommended that adult dogs are left alone for more than 4-6 hours per day, we understand that sometimes unavoidable emergencies do happen. In circumstances where you may have to leave your dog home to deal with an emergency, and don’t have time to make other arrangements such as home boarding, we can provide a regular check-in service every 4 hours during the day. During our visits we’ll tend to your dog’s food and water needs, spend at least 30 minutes playing/socialising with your dog, and offer one 30-45 minute walk, as well as provide toilet breaks during each visit. Please be aware that this service is reserved for emergencies lasting 24-48 hours, and is not a suitable replacement for home boarding or boarding in a licenced kennel. If your emergency situation lasts longer than 48 hours we can offer Pet Sitting for your other small animals, but your dog must be appropriately kennelled or home-boarded after the initial 48-hour period. For a transportation fee, we’re happy to taxi your pet to a nearby kennel/boarder that you have booked.

For your other pets, home visits can be booked for daily or twice-daily intervals, depending on you/your pets’ needs. Single day visits will include feeding and watering once or twice per day (usually morning/evening unless specified otherwise), and for cats, clearing out the litter tray (if present). For visits over a period of 2 or more days, a cage/tank/hutch clean can be carried out if needed, during the daily or twice-daily feed/water visits.

According to the Animals Welfare Act 2006, it is an offence to fail to take such steps as are reasonable to ensure that the needs of an animal for which you are responsible are met. The needs of the animal are:

1) Its needs for a suitable environment,
2) Its needs for a suitable diet,
3) Its needs to be able to exhibit normal behaviour patterns,
4) Any need it has to be house with, or apart from, other animals, and
5) Its needs to be protected from pain, suffering, injury and disease.

By booking a home visit, you’ll be ensuring your pets receive the best care while you’re away from home.

Before you book, we’ll need to undertake a consultation at your home, to discuss your requirements and provide our credentials (such as DBS and insurance) for your viewing – there is no charge for the consultation, and no obligation to book should you change your mind.
